BROWN Brothers Restaurant in Milawa has been awarded a hat at The Age Good Food Guide Awards 2023, recognising the efforts of its head chef Bodee Price and the kitchen team.
The winners were announced in November, acknowledging Victoria's best restaurants and the award recognised the incredible work, motivation and resilience of the restaurant and guest services team over the past 12 months.
"I'm incredibly proud of the team and the food and wine experiences we have been able to offer our guests – the award highlights the passion and determination behind our food philosophy is working," Bodee said.
Brown Brothers said over the past year Bodee and the entire team have reimagined the dining experience at the restaurant, now King Valley's premier destination for good food and great wine.
They say the restaurant is designed to showcase everything Milawa has to offer, allowing guests to share Brown Brothers' connection to the region.
Bodee has taken the ethos of fresh produce – and a move towards minimal waste and sustainability – and harnessed it into the menu at Brown Brothers Restaurant, putting produce and quality at the forefront.
Inspired by native Australian flavours and intentionally designed using ingredients sourced from the kitchen garden behind their cellar door, Bodee's menu is guided by the seasons; the garden tended by chefs who pick fresh each day.
